Learning City Fall Festival

Our dear friends Frances and Tony own Learning City, the best educational resource center in South Florida. If you are looking for anything from a pencil box to water colors this is the place to go. Its a great resource for teachers and parents.

At the start of the current school year we purchased all of Sarah’s school supplies from them. It was awesome, they had a little bags ready to go with all the supplies needed. Just say the school and the grade and you are ready to go. The next time you need school supplies be sure to check them out.

Two weeks ago they asked me to take some pictures at the store for a Fall Festival event. It was incredible! They had face painting, snow cones, arts and crafts and more. The kids had a blast and we got to hang out with great friends. Here are some product shots I took for promotional items and a website.

So the next time you need school supplies give them a call!

Ask and You Will Receive

Saint Luke 11 5-13

And he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him, ‘and he says in reply from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.’ I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence. “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit 5 to those who ask him?”

I love this. So many times I have asked and received but failed to give Him thanks. I am truly blessed. This past weekend was amazing. My wife and I were blessed to attend a weekend retreat together, alone without the kids! We are truly blessed and love our two girls. We missed them dearly, it was great to take a small break and focus on what is truly important in life. Do not ever forget what your marriage is all about. We were also in the company of some great friends and I thank them all for making this a wonderful weekend.

Lets not forget the new elevator ride at El Yunque!

The Perfect Pumpkin in Miami

On Thursday we took the girls out to find the perfect pumpkin. When I was a kid my Mom would take my brother and me to the local pumpkin patch. This was one of the annual family rituals and now we are passing it on to Sophia and Sarah. Last year we skipped out and managed with one of the plastic ones from Target. At the time Sophia was just a couple of months old. This year we had a blast! Now the question of the day is “when is Halloween?” Since it was Sophia’s first pumpkin adventure I got my camera and took some great shots of the kids. I can not wait till Halloween to gets some pictures of the kids dressed up.

Here Sarah, who loves to be photographed, managed to keep her mouth closed as her two front teeth have now fallen.

I tried to sit Sophia in the middle of the pumpkins, the plan (in my head) was to get a shot of her surrounded by pumpkins, she was not happy!

Fortunately, for a very brief second she paused and let me get this shot.

We had a great time and found the perfect pumpkin in all of South Florida. Sometime next week I will move on to the project of carving it.

Oh, and I almost forgot. While deep in the science of finding the perfect pumpkin CSI Miami style, my phone rings, its UncleRay, he never received my CD from the recent engagement session we shot in Miami! lol

I went home and made another copy then I drove to his house and dropped it off. I managed to interfere with his dinner but he showed me some killer shots he recently took. I can not wait to see more.

Engagement Session with UncleRay

I spent this past week trading emails and speaking with Ray Santana. Ray was working this week in beautiful Puerto Rico with Mike Colon and Grace Ormonde on a photo shoot for Wedding Style magazine. Be sure to check out the diva that Mike and Ray ran into while in Puerto Rico! After a couple of emails and phone calls he invited me on Friday to shoot an engagement session with him. The couple will be getting married early next year at the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. We took the couple all over South Florida from Key Biscaye, Coconut Grove to Coral Gable’s Miracle Mile. This couple was incredible, they were totally into the session, extremely cooperative and they are very photogenic. We all had a blast.

Still need to work on getting you over to Aperture, lets tackle that one after the D3 arrives. You have been blessed with an incredible gift and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to experience it first hand.Oh, before I forget the package is in the mail!

Sunday Afternoon with the Girls

I was fortunate to spend the afternoon at home with my girls and snapped a couple shots. Here is Sophia (AKA Trouble). She was running all over the place and wanted something in the crib so I just stuck her in it and she went crazy happy. I cant believe I had not thought of this before. lol

Not to long after I snapped this shot Sarah came running to find out when she was going to have her picture taken. Here is Sophia and Sarah piling up on Mom.

Studio Phone Number Change

Hi folks! It turns out our main studio number is changing. Its crazy, in this day and age when numbers can be ported from one provider to another, it turns out that is not always the case. So, effective immediately my main office number is 305-361-1992. You will still be able to reach us at the old number for some time, however please update your address books with our new number as I am hoping to eliminate the old number soon.

I sincerely apologize for any trouble this may cause.
