Christina & Dan’s Wedding
After Christina and Dan’s phenomenal engagement session on South Beach, I helped Ray photograph their beautiful wedding. The ceremony took place at St. Patrick’s on Miami Beach, on a spectacular February day. The attention to detail paid by Christina and Dan was evident in how truly wonderful and special their wedding day was. Following the ceremony was an outdoor cocktail hour on the bay and a reception at the Intercontinental Miami.

Be sure to check out Ray’s awesome shot form the balcony inside St. Patrick’s.

Nikon D3 - The Arrival
We are not having another baby, we are most certainly not having twins & we are not getting another generator. Today we welcomed into our home the latest addition to my camera bag. The new Nikon D3! This camera is sick!

Thats right folks, as part of our welcome to the family celebrations Nikon has decided to join in by launching a much needed facelift the their US based website. Here is a preview.

Big thanks to Nikon for helping me celebrate the new arrival! And finally big thanks to Riccis for the help securing my place in line. :)

Deise & Herly’s Spectacular Wedding
What an amazing wedding! Following Deise & Herly’s fabulous engagement session UncleRay asked Mike Colon and me to give him a hand on Super Bowl Sunday with the wedding. The day started with Deise at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa where her and her bridesmaids had an amazing time. We then headed to a beautiful church where Deise had a spectacular display of flowers and butterflies followed by a reception at a rooftop restaurant right on Ft. Lauderdale’s intercostal at the Hyatt Pier 66.

Ray lets Deise keep his precious D3 as a wedding gift!

Deise & Herly may you have an awesome time on your honeymoon and a lifetime of happiness!

Big thanks to UncleRay for always thinking to me for these amazing weddings and UncleMike for an amazing time, it was awesome to have been able to shoot a wedding with the two of you.

Apple’s Aperture 2.0
As most digital photographers know any optimization possible in your workflow is key to improving the overall efficiency of your business. When Apple first announced Aperture 1.0 back in 2005 I pre-ordered it from the Apple Store that same day, along with a hot new PowerMac. At the time it was $499 and it helped redefine the standard for my digital workflow. Since then Adobe has come on strong with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Apple has dramatically lowered the retail price. I must admit the wait has been painful however today is like Christmas in February for any photographer that depends on Aperture. Apple today officially unveiled version 2.0, the biggest revision to Aperture since its original release featuring over 100 new features. You can download a 30 day trial or order your copy online at the Apple Store. Looks like I will be paying a visit to the local Apple Store today. ![]()
Also, I was so pumped up when Aperture was first released I setup a mailing list for all things Aperture. Be sure to check out the Aperture Users website and signup today!

Frozen in Grand Central Station
This is absolutely awesome. I just came across this video on Eddie Bojorquez’s blog, it takes place in New York City’s Grand Central Station.
How cool is that! Makes me wonder what a Trash the Dress session in Grand Central would be like, anyone interested?

Christina & Dan’s South Beach Engagement Session
Quick update on a fabulous engagement session on Ocean Drive. I love outdoor sessions and this is the time of year for them! Big thanks to Christina & Dan for an awesome time and UncleRay for always thinking of me for these killer shoots. Engagement sessions are one of my favorite sessions and certainly one of the most rewarding aspects of being a wedding photographer. It is amazing the time we spend with the couple, by the time the wedding day arrives its like we are old time friends. It truly helps set the stage for the entire wedding day.
Below is my quick update with my favorite shots of the day.

This is going to be an amazing wedding at St. Patrick’s in Miami Beach followed by a receptions at Miami’s Intercontinental Hotel.
