I recently had the pleasure of photographing Christine & Dan’s destination wedding in Key West. The intimate ceremony and reception took place at the historic Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum in the heart of Old Town Key West. Having been the private residence to one of America’s most honored authors. Hemingway spent more than ten years in Key West during what is considered the most prolific period of this Nobel Prize winner’s writing career. When Christine called from New York and said she was planning a wedding in Key West I knew it was going to be an night to remember! Here is a taste of what we captured.

Annie & David’s Key West Wedding
Featured in the Fall/Winter Edition of The Knot Magazine

Annie and David have a mutual friend to thank for “putting them in the same room” as the couple likes to say, during a Christmas party in 2006. It didn’t take an outside introduction for Annie and David to catch each other’s interest. By the end of the night, David was serenading Annie at a karaoke bar, and the rest is history. “We were pretty much in love,” says Annie of their first meeting. “We are truly the most perfect people for each other.”

The Groom David Minkin, an online publisher
The Date November 8
One year later, Annie was heading to Ohio for Christmas to see her family and David dropped by Annie’s apartment to deliver her gift. When he handed her a large box, Annie immediately noticed how light it was but tried not to get too excited. After digging through layers of ribbon, gift-wrap and tissue paper, she finally came across a small ring box. As soon as the box touched Annie’s hand, David popped the question — almost exactly a year after he hit just the right note at the Christmas party. Even though they live in New York, the couple decided to marry in Key West because Annie spent much of her life there and always loved the city’s “great attitude about life.” She combined fall colors with the spirit of Key West with a green, orange and espresso palette.

Annie and David had a spectacular destination wedding at The Southernmost House in Key West, and I was fortunate enough to have been selected to photograph and document all the wonderful memories they made! The chemistry these two share is straight out of a fairytale. Not to mention the amazing location they choose to make this fairytale come to life.
Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day.

Thanks Annie and David for allowing me to be part of your special day.

Key West is such a cool town, and it really came to life this past weekend with Diana and Yanel’s engagement session. It couldn’t have been more appropriate since they are planning a fabulous wedding at Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys. This engagement session had a total island feel!
Here is a sneak peak of the amazing time we had while exploring the streets of Key West.

This final shot is a preview of things to come, this shot is at Little Palm Island.

Big thanks to Diana and Yanel for a great time, and I am really looking forward to documenting your amazing wedding.
