Happy Thanksgiving!!!

by Alex Rodriguez on November 21, 2007

On this Thanksgiving day I have many things to give thanks for. My Wife! What would I do without her? My Two Angles, Sophia & Sarah, what better reason to wake up every morning? My Faith, God has blessed me with blind faith and belief that He will always provide. All my MIV family for the support, encouragement and pure love you have given me and my family! May God always protect and bless your marriages & families. WJAMVWB! My brother Fabian, Carolyn and baby William, we can’t wait to see you.

For my business… Nikon! For creating the best photographic equipment in the world, even when your marketing sucks you still manage to get photographers to rave about you! All my clients, without you I would be nothing more than a guy with an expensive camera. John & Barbara Gerlach for teaching me exposure and freeing me from the grips of “P” mode! John is the one person in the world who could convince me to shoot 100’s of wonderful photographs of ONE flower in my backyard! Trust me, its possible! Mark Robert Halper for showing me that a simple headshot can be fun and cool! Also, once your tripod is set - do not move it! Alain Briot who showed me that Photoshop is my friend. I resisted using Photoshop for years partially because I sucked at it and partially because I felt I wanted my pictures to be “real”. They still are, but why not kick it up a notch with Photoshop? After spending a week with Alain I was convinced more than ever that Ansel Adams would have been Photoshop’s greatest advocate. Mike Colon who without his reaffirming words of encouragement I would not be shooting weddings today. He is absolutely brilliant. When it comes to business, his approach to marketing and elegant simplicity make him and absolute genius. But what truly sets him apart and is by far his biggest gift is his unshaken faith and humanity. Ray Santana for taking my call and always keeping me busy. He has a heart of gold and I can’t imagine gong a day without talking to him, good thing he has Cingular! Big Thank You!
Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!
