Nikon Marketing Home Run

by Alex Rodriguez on June 11, 2008

I nearly fell off my chair (actually my couch) as I was fast-forwarding my DVR the Nikon logo caught my eye. I backed up and viewed this incredible TV commercial.

Has Nikon finally established a marketing department?

Looks like they have invested some serious cash in marketing with top level talent like Ashton Kutcher as a wedding photographer. Its great to see some of that D3 cash at work.

I hope this is the start of some aggressive marketing campaigns from Nikon.

My blog updates have been a bit slow the past couple of weeks, stay tuned I have some updates in the works.

Lets hope that they don’t increase their prices up there with Cannon so that they can pay for all this savey marketing. D3 don’t need to be more $$ :)

LOL, yeah I’ve seen that TV ad. I just hope people don’t go out and by a D40 and think they’ll be an instant Ashton/photographer, lol.

Hey Alex!

Thanks for your last comment on DJ’s blog. I just sent David an email myself that thanked him for his positive comment. One of the negative guys who commented actually wrote something mean on my blog, so evidently it’s not just Mike and DJ… they’ve resorted to bashing new photogs too! Anyway, thanks for sticking up for what’s right. Too bad more people can’t be as positive as some of us! Take care! :)
